Hotel Policies

Terms & Conditions:

All reservations are prepaid. Once paid, reservations are non-refundable. We're really sorry but if you cancel a reservation, don't turn up for your reservation or the hotel denies check-in to a person not accompanied by you we will not be able to refund your monies. That's the bad news. The good news is: if for any reason you cancel, we will hold your payment as a credit towards a stay up to one year from the original arrival date. If your long-term outlook is uncertain, we now allow you to pay a $100 fee to extend the credit for an additional year.

Now some important words from our lawyers:

The guest, which is you, the person making this reservation and all those who accompany you (“Guest(s)”), agrees to pay for any damage caused by them or their invited guests to the hotel property (“Hotel”), either Playa Viva or Casa Viva. Guest(s) acknowledges and agrees to assume all risks related to their visit to hotel including (but not limited to) participation in any and all activities at Hotel, the turtle sanctuary or any and all locations where activities take place including excursions on or off the property of the Hotel. Guests releases Hotel (including: Playa Viva LLC, Playa Viva S de RL de CV, its officers, staff members, volunteers, advisors, property owners, and/or agents) of and from all claims which may happen due to injury, loss or damage, which may be suffered by Guest(s) or to any property, because of any matter, thing, or condition, negligence or default whatsoever, and Guest(s) assume and accept the full risk and danger of any hurt, injury or damage which may occur through or by reason of any matter, thing or condition, negligence or default, or any person or persons whatsoever. Any dispute arising between the undersigned and Hotel, including any dispute arising out of or in any way related to anyone in Guest(s) party, shall be subject to binding, non-appealable arbitration to be brought exclusively in Guerrero, Mexico, and Mexican law shall apply.

And now a word from our insurance agent:

It is further agreed and understood that Guest(s) shall maintain in full force and effect, an insurance policy covering medical treatment and all related costs in the event of an injury to as a result of participation in any and all activities at Hotel or as a result of stay at Hotel. Guest(s) also agrees that if does not maintain in full force and effect a policy of insurance, guest is still liable for medical treatment and all related costs per above. This release and assumption of liability shall be binding on Guest(s), their heirs and their dependents.

Guarantee Policy:
 
Your deposit guarantees your reservation. We don't overbook so when your deposit payment of 20% clears, that reservation is guaranteed. 80% due 30-days prior to arrival (60-days for Holiday Rates). 100% due if booked within 30-day window (60-days for Holidays). If for any reason we mess up, and yes, we are human and we make mistakes (but not often) we guarantee that we will find you a comparable room in the area and will do our best to make good. Overbooking has only happened twice in 7 years that we can recall.

 

Parking policy:
 
Parking is available on site (at both Playa Viva and Casa Viva) and included in your room rate. Please notify us in advance if you are bringing your own vehicle.
