Thank You for making us so Happy! Ausra and Ilan,
San Francisco, December 2006
I
can't thank you enough for the use of Casa Viva. As you probably know
we used the property over Labor Day weekend and got married while we
were down there. The wedding party stayed at Casa Viva and the rest
of the party stayed all over Troncones. We all had an incredible time.
The place could not have been more perfect and the staff that took care
of us was unbelievable. The food was incredible every time and I still
use theirmargarita recipe to this day. The day after the wedding we all decided we would definitely be back and, even though we have friends with property just down the beach, we never want to stay anywhere else but Casa Viva. Jason and Lauren Hicks, Austin, TX, September 2006
There are great
restaurants just a short walk away if you want to get out. Sunsets
are magnificent.
Casa Viva is everything you could hope for in a vacation - beautiful, fantastic food and exquisite lodging surrounded by fruit trees, no insects and an ideal climate... and a splendid beach! - Greg, Maia, Evelina and Robert, Washington, DC, March 2007
Casa Viva is absolutely beautiful and the staff are great. We have traveled through various parts of Mexico on numerous trips over the years and this last trip was our best yet. My wife is claiming that Casa Viva Troncones is going to become our annual trip. Everything came together beautifully thanks to you, Mike and Anne (of ISAMEXICO Surfing). Travis, Mariah and family, San Luis Obispo, CA, May 2007
The staff are all wonderful individuals and everything is always spotless. Poli was there to greet us when we got out of the taxi from Zihuatanejo. He and his family proved the perfect hosts throughout our four days at Casa Viva. Yolanda's breakfasts were memorable - the sopes are to die for.
I am a designer working in the fashion business, and visuals are very important to me...so needless to say I was thrilled...from all the amazing details in the buildings, to the setting, landscaping...I was happy. And for our little Ruby...it was paradise. She, who was terrified of swimming, managed to spend long hours in your pool, and wandering around happily all by herself from house to house, and having her first horseback ride!
And how about Poli and Augustina...how great are they!? And on and on..
The architecture, flora, attention to ecology, and warm staff, made Casa Viva a pleasure. Poli, Agostina, and their son Rigo, were kind, accommodating, and a pleasure to live with. Yolanda cooked up delicious sopes and pancakes for breakfast, while Adi made sure everything was nice and tidy.
The other guests were also great. One reason we chose Casa Viva was that it didn't look like it would attract over-zealous partiers or unsavory turistas. As was evident there, as well as on this page, the visitors to Casa Viva are intelligent and thoughtful. A great reflection on what David and Sandra have created. Troncones is a great little town, with wonderful restaurants on the beach. The tortillaria (if you can find it) cranks out delicious, fresh tortillas daily. Manzanillo Bay, just up the road from Casa Viva, has some nice restaurants, and a great beach for swimming. Overall, Casa Viva is a very special place that we will be visiting again. Hopefully soon.
![]() Our time at Casa Viva was very restful, and the ladies there were very friendly. The kids loved the pool, and we were able to teach one to swim while there. The Internet connection worked great, and I was able to take care of a crisis or two while we stayed. You have a great place down there, and I thank you for sharing it with us. Justin and Bard and sons
We had an absolutely awesome time at Casa Viva.
One of the best vacations we have ever been on. The staff was wonderful,
attentive, and Francesca was a wonderful cook!!!! We barely left the pool and
when we did it was to eat, go horseback riding, or jump in the ocean. Casa Viva
is absolutely gorgeous....you feel like your in an episode of life styles of the
rich and famous!!!
Read an article about buying property in Troncones published in Forbes Magazine on-line. Click here.
We went to a couple of restaurants--we found the Manzanillo Bay Inn and the Italian restaurant in Troncones a little pricey but with good food. We also had lunch a couple of different places along the beach which were very good.
We had a fabulous time.. and will definitely be
going back. In fact, our family is considering taking a trip back in in March.
As I was saying we had a great time. The staff was wonderful and patient with
our rusty and limited Spanish. The food was incredible! The architecture and
layout of the place is so beautiful and harmonizing that we couldn't help but
completely relax. And the location is great in that you can walk to Manzanillo
Bay for snorkeling, surfing Troncones point or getting a bite to eat. We also
went out on a boat a couple of times as well.. that was one of my favorite
things! We had such a great time we were sad to leave.
It's hard to describe this wonderful house and
pictures don't really do it justice. At one point we had 14 people staying there
of all ages and sizes, very easily. There are basically two master bedrooms and
I am completely in love with Troncones and Casa Viva! I'll never go back to Ixtapa again! We went up to Saladita and caught some waves, rode horses one morning and ate at Burro Boracho every evening. Gustavo and Karina are so warm and welcoming and I'm so impressed with what all of you have created down there. I didn't want to leave!
We felt completely away from the world at Casa Viva, in our own little paradise. It was unlike anywhere we have ever stayed. Photographs cannot do it justice. With out a doubt Casa Viva is the most beautiful place we have ever visited. It was wonderful. We can't wait to return!

For anyone looking for true relaxation Casa Viva is the place. Time goes by so slowly that a four day vacation felt like seven. The staff is wonderful and the food is incredible. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
A great place to relax, rejuvenate, and reenergize, Casa Viva was heavenly. The staff was available but not intrusive. The food was delicious and varied. Between horseback riding, body surfing, kayaking, you can do as much or as little as you wish...we chose the latter and spent our days reading by the pool overlooking the ocean. Waking in the morning to the gentle sounds of the surf was a great way to start every day. It was fantastic!
We really enjoyed Gustavo and his wife. He even took my son in law Mitch on a kayak trip up a favorite waterway of his. The staff was very supportive and the 4 nights that we ate at the house was a pleasant eating experience. I bought all the lobsters in the fishing village next door one day and the ladies did a wonderful job of preparing them.
There is not a detail which has been overlooked in the creation of these special oceanfront palapas. The water is never less than 87 degrees and the sun always shines. Leisurely long walks on the beach can add to your collection of driftwood and lovely stones while it is rare to find another soul sharing your private moment. And when you do, everyone seems to be infected with the same quiet glow that you feel. Restaurants are plentiful and if you desire a little more excitement Zihuatanejo and or Ixtapa is just a half hour away. In addition, those massages on the beach or in your private palapa are terrific and quite reasonably priced. However if you like crowds, noise and a Miami Beach kind of environment this is not for you. If not, come to paradise and enjoy!!

The common area is quite magnificent, sporting rounded surfaces, adobe walls, a delightful kitchen and dining area overlooking the ocean and a tastefully incorporated swimming pool. Accommodation is in the form of fully appointed individual huts which have to be seen to be fully appreciated."
